Healing the Inner Child

EXAMPLES OF WAYS TO CONNECT AND HEAL YOUR INNER CHILD

  • Guided meditation, subject healing inner child (example: https://youtu.be/TFkR7CjVd9U

  • Write a letter to your inner/younger child, in your none dominant hand, tell him/her everything you would offer to any child then burn it on a full moon. I can’t write at all with my non dominant hand so doing this with your writing hand is fine too!

  • With a friend/partner, on a large roll cray paper, lay on the paper, have your partner trace your body, around the outline of your body write everything your younger sense needs to hear and know.

  • Journal, write and list any negative emotions you may be holding on to from the past.

  • Place a photo of yourself at the age of needed healing on a poster board and write words of affirmation around the photo.

  • Seek professional hypnotherapy.

  • Receive a Reiki healing session, with focus on the Root chakra

  • Cutting cords

In this day and age we have given up so much to fit into being acceptable for society. So often growing up, far too early. Kids are not using there imagination as they use too, they're creativity. So many gifts so easily disregarded, dimmed, with the pressures of the world forcing a woman from a little girl. Dulling the lights of many children, not letting them just be silly, be kids!
The following is a raw example of this.

BOY'S LIFE

“I wanted to set my memories down on paper, where I can hold them. You know, I do believe in magic. I was born and raised in a magic time, in a magic town, among magicians. Oh, most everybody else didn’t realize we lived in that web of magic, connected by silver filaments of chance and circumstance. But I knew it all along. When I was twelve years old, the world was my magic lantern, and by its green spirit glow I saw the past, the present and into the future. You probably did too; you just don’t recall it. See, this is my opinion: we all start out knowing magic. We are born with whirlwinds, forest fires, and comets inside us. We are born able to sing to birds and read the clouds and see our destiny in grains of sand. But then we get the magic educated right out of our souls. We get it churched out, spanked out, washed out, and combed out. We get put on the straight and narrow and told to be responsible. Told to act our age. Told to grow up, for God’s sake. And you know why we were told that? Because the people doing the telling were afraid of our wildness and youth, and because the magic we knew made them ashamed and sad of what they’d allowed to wither in themselves.”

“THE PAST HAS NO POWER OVER THE PRESENT MOMENT."
ECKHART TOLLE

One of the most vital realizations in my personal spiritual growth, was healing my inner child. I have found that many of us, damn near most of us have old unprocessed negative energy that we’ve been safely storing within ever since we were a child.

You don’t necessarily have to have major trauma in your childhood to be carrying around, extra weighted energy. Indentifying such, pin pointing specific memories can be vital to your spiritual growth allowing you to reflect, learn and then most importantly let it go!

It very well could even be something so little that you may have overlooked its importance, that could actually be quite significant to the underlying fear or negative thought pattern you can’t seem to shake! History tends to repeat itself, you’ll keep creating the same, unless you choose to stop it here and now.

Awareness is the first step. This can safely be done with the help of a professional therapist. Go back in time and learn more about how you came to be, can awaken painful memories but can be very healing. It may be that you need to address and offer healing, nurturing and love, to this unknown part of yourself. You may need to have a little chat with your younger self, simply letting her know that she is loved or that the weight she carries is not hers. You may need to free yourself from unprocessed or deeply hidden emotions and feelings of resentment, shame, guilt, and forgive yourself. Sending some love and compassion to the past and allowing yourself to let go!

In addition to healing the inner child, this may bring forth memories as to other relationships that need healing as well. Sometimes it's just the knowing, the realization of an event that you unconsciously still connect to and you need to shed the heavy burden of carrying it further in life, letting go, learning and growing, deepening your understanding of who you are today. Whether it is the the inner child, teenager, young adult, it is important to examine your past in order to heal, learn and let go. Discover yourself and how you came to be.

In Thich Nhat Hanh’s book Reconciliation, he said that inside each of us is a young, suffering child; and that to protect ourselves from future suffering, we all try to forget the pain. Most often, when we feel pain from a deep place within, it’s our inner wounded child who’s calling. Forgetting the pain results in more pain.

Healing the past

The OLD SOUL

Beyond the healing of this life, unaware we carry the unknown baggage and pain that is through our ancestral lineage DNA.

History repeating itself, replaying age old lessons and stories that are passed down through genetic code. It may be that like myself, part of my purpose is that I came into this life to heal my lineages both in the past and for the future. Simply by breaking the cycle. I am literally changing future lineages, by simple becoming aware of the pain of those before me, and giving them a voice.

This has been a long journey but vital for myself, my family and for future generations.

"Forgive the past. Happiness comes from within"- Brian Weiss

You are not just a body,,, your soul is evolving, and has a soul age. As a part of my healing, I had a past life regression, it was truly a remarkable. I found a wonderful therapist who took me back hundreds of years ago, which allowed me to see first hand what hardships I have faced in prior lives, and let the burdens and pain from that life release. Even though you're a product of your ancestors and past lives, you do not need to remain a prisoner to the past.

I never had much thought of past lives prior to reading the book Many Lives, Many Masters by Brian Weiss. A physiologist and former skeptic who tells the story about his patient who discovers many past lives through hypnosis regression. He found this to be the break through that she needed to heal. Dr Weiss was initially bringing his patient back in regression to heal the inner child, to his dismay she went back in time before her current lifetime. As she learned of her past lives she begun to have progress in her healing, she begun to awaken to her soul, spiritual growth and was becoming more intuitive, true healing happened when she was able to release the trauma in her past lives.

Amazing book and I highly recommend.
