We all know what it feels like within to experience love. Love is felt in the center of your body at the heart, sensations of warmth, relaxation a calm and safe and comfort. Love is also experienced as grief and sadness, for if we never loved we would never grieve. Love is not taught it just is, it exist IN each of us.

It’s no surprise that it is the heart beat that is the first sign of life in an embryo. It is not the brain, our mind or thoughts. It’s just the echo of the beat of life of the heart.

You were not born with thoughts of not being enough, with negative thoughts, self doubts, self hate… you in your purity, are just simply love…


Be the witness Of your thougHts, be the observer

If you wouldn’t say it to your friend… You shouldn’t say it to yourself!!

Being present and listening to your inner voice is a vital part of the Self Love Journey. Connecting to where these thoughts are coming from? You weren’t born with these thoughts…

Bring awareness to the emotions that arise with your thoughts, they are the catalyst to our actions.

We must sit with these thoughts and feelings and ask ourselves if they are true? Are these thoughts you have based on comparing yourself to others? Have they been told to you by others or society? Are they from your Soul? Ego? Consider… do those negative thoughts apply to this present moment? As you shed these old negative energies, the veil lifts.

MINDFULNESS MIND FUL NESS

The quality or state of being conscious or aware of something. Practicing mindfulness and meditation, is just that, practice.

A mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.


This passive practice is about being present in the moment, thoughtless awareness, non judgmental, slowing down and becoming aware of your breath.

Detaching and letting go every thought that enters your mind, and “coming home” to your “self”, by refocusing on your breath. This type of meditation can be exercised anywhere. Just being, in the present moment where ever you are, doing dishes or outside in nature.

Simply observing your life as it happens. it is not thinking about the past or worrying about the future, it’s just bringing all of your attention to here and now. Using all of your senses in even the simplest everyday tasks.



journal thoughts for a week

Take time each day to listen. Be the witness to your thoughts and write down what your hear? Do you hear negative brain chatter? Is this perhaps a negative pattern, Investigate the root cause, the time and place that “thought” pattern came to life?

Hang a picture of yourself as a child on a wall or mirror.

Say these things to that picture. 

Journal how it feels to say those things to that child.

Now write down things you love about yourself.

Now say those things to that child in the picture.

Pay attention to your body. Your jaw. Your muscles. Your chest. Your breath.

When I look at the word A(war)eness, “WAR” sticks out to me. This describes what happens between your soul and ego if you don’t bring full awareness to yourself through self love.

The ego will try to defeat your soul by feeding it negative thoughts. If you lack self love these thoughts will be believed and absorbed as realty. Then your ego will win the war and gain victory!

Stop the war between ego and soul by bringing awareness to yourself and treating yourself as you would a small child. ~ Mande


MEDITATION

Take 15 minutes for yourself, relax and listen to the Love and Kindness also know as a Metta guided meditation below.

In this meditation you will be prompted to visualize a few people, the first one is someone you trust and love, the second is an acquaintance, for example like a neighbor, customer, someone you don’t know very well and then also you’ll be asked to see someone who you don’t get along with all the time?

Before you begin the meditation, perhaps take a moment to bring these 3 people to mind and then begin your meditation. Afterwards journal about your experience.
