The Sacral Chakra
Located in the center of the lower abdomen and above the pelvic bone. Here lies the orange glow of the Svadisthana, also called the Sacral Chakra.
Its development occurs during grade school years ages 7-14.
Its physical attributes correlate to the reproductive and lymphatic system, surrounding the pelvic area, kidneys, including digestion.

This energy center houses our deepest feelings, emotions, pleasures and creativity, the center of creation!
When this 2nd chakra is balanced you’re able to achieve healthy feelings of sensuality, enjoyment, emotional balance and feel comfortable within your body. Feeling connected to yourself as well as to others and open you up to creativity!
When this chakra is blocked or imbalanced you may feel unhappy with life, insecure about your body, unable to achieve pleasure, difficulties relaxing, boundary issues, lack of creativity, isolation and have a feeling of being lost with no solution.
Shock or trauma may store here, as well as physical weight. Clearing this chakra will release heavy negative unprocessed emotional energy you’ve carried for years and allow deep healing!
Gemstones
Crystals that are powerful for this chakra are Carnelian, Jasper, Sunstone, Orange Calcite and Gold Topaz to name a few.
Exercises
Wearing and eating foods that are ORANGE in color, oranges, pumpkin, carrots and orange pepper for example.
This chakra corresponds to the element of water, take a relaxing bath with a few drops of bergamot or orange essential oil.
Dancing, hula hooping, yoga (asana & pigeon pose), swimming and any other fun exercises that gets you moving will allow you to connect and balance this chakra.
