Make a family tree
I have assisted in building a hundred or more family trees, and have gotten as far as in 600’s on some trees. Some family lines are easier than others, but with today’s technology and information databases, we can go back in time and learn a lot about those before us.
It’s common to hit many bumps in the road during genealogy research. Some didn’t keep records, or they were destroyed, and let’s face it, our ancestors didn’t get to creative with names like we do today.

I have many ancestors who’s first and middle names are the same for generations all named after one another or Saints in the Bible. Spellings are crazy, it just can be very confusing and quite the puzzle.
Sometime there is a dead end, and it’s just not possible to locate some ancestors, for a variety of reasons. BUT this does not mean the journeys over, it just means their not easily accessible on an online database.
This will involve more trust within, and something I believe we should do more of… more faith in our ancestors spiritual guidance, than an online website.
Even if you don’t know your biological family, you still have ancestors and they still speak! It’s not necessary to connect with any one ancestor directly by name.
In many cultures if they adopted someone into their tribe, they would call on their ancestors to welcome their new family member. It’s important to know that although blood runs deep, we are part of a soul family, and many times this may not even be your actual blood relatives.
Most importantly allow your intuition to guide you!

Create an Ancestry account, I’m most familiar with Ancestry.com. I can help get you started on your tree, if you do not already have one (see below).
*You do not need to do a DNA test, although it does help verify a line that is unknown or difficult to trace.Print below this family tree template, try to fill in the squares. Use Ancestry.com if needed. This work can be very overwhelming, so start small and get to know each ancestor on this print out, keep notes in your journal.
Need some help with your tree?
I will gladly help you get started, if needed. I will try my hardest to help you locate up to at least 6 generations, if possible.
I will build your first branches, but it’s for you to discover and get to know them. In doing so, I suggest taking one lineage at a time, this work can be quite overwhelming.
I would recommend getting a three ring binder, and organize the information you obtain from ancestry or google by maternal and paternal lines.
